Blogging up there, somewhere.

icon trm Blogging up there, somewhere.I’m publishing this blog post a bit late. I can’t stand not writing about a blogger friend and defy her preference for “slipping away” silently.

Goodbye blogger friend. We will miss your blog posts, your writing and your knack for demystifying music to us, cold souls.

Goodbye fellow bone doc. Even if we rarely had a chance of actually doing bone surgeries together, we shared the same tenacity for fishing out the medical absurdities of our work.

I hope you did take the “wave and smile” I made during your induction to the fellows fold a warm welcome and congratulations.

Not a farewell, I hope.

By for now blogger, fellow bone doc.

POA 2011 Mid Year Convention Flyer

This year’s Phil. Orthopedic Association (POA) Mid Year Convention will be on May 5-8, 2011 at the KCC Convention Center General Santos City. POA-South Mindanao Chapter, the host for this event, chose the Tuna capital as its venue and has lined up interesting topics (Read this souvenir program) for the participating orthopods.

This year’s theme,”Habal-Habal sa Gensan”  focuses mostly on orthopedic trauma resulting from motorcycle injuries and its socio-economic impact on Filipinos. Habal- Habal is the local vernacular for a motorcycle used as a passenger transport vehicle common in the countryside. As everyone might have noticed, traumatic injuries from motorcycle accidents tops the list for causes of acute trauma injuries in the Philippines.

So lets relax a bit off our busy cutting lives and enjoy this year’s mid year convention!

See you all at the Gen Santos City!

I am sorry…

{ Tagged with:

My sincere apologies, to you, dear readers and followers.

  1. For not having posted anything new in this blog for quite sometime.
  2. For transferring my site url without the necessary ‘temporary redirect page” and thus confusing you all.
  3. For messing up this blog and its layout several times, that even me the author,  got lost in the site navigation .
  4. Leaving the blog rounds temporarily in mess and its publications schedules unmet…

tolnew 300x196 I am sorry...I have transferred this blog,  from a free subdomain platform Blogger, to a self hosted WordPress blog The Orthopedic Logbook (http://remomd.com/blog).

The clamor for transferring this blog to a better platform is getting louder. The so many features I need to suit my readers is just not available on free versions. Or I’d consume more time hacking just to do a run around for this features. Transferring entails time, funds and a lot of layout tweaking.  Time, that  often interfered with my regular job. And funds? It all came from my shallow pocket. The tweaking though ate most of my time, as I am new to wordpress.

I realized though that even as blogging is as important to me,  readers and subscribers need to know the whys and what the heck of my sudden but  “temporary” disappearance in the medical blogosphere.  And I hope, I have not lost your trust and confidence in me and my blog.

I hope with my new home and eye friendly layout, it will be easier for you to get hold of my articles, navigate through my blog . I will tackle how to navigate through my blog in my next post.

Again, my sincere apologies and thank you for your continued patronage of my blog, The Orthopedic Logbook!
