New National Library of Medicine Citation Rules for blogs on the internet

Blogs can now be cited as a source of information even in the strictly regulated field of medicine. Take a a look at this.

The National Library of Medicine-NIH, probably having the largest collection of medical materials and an authority in the use of biomedical information, has issued citation rules for blogs in the internet.

An example of citing blogs from the internet can be seen here.

Now that is some encouraging news for scientist-bloggers!

Together with the modified NIH guide for evaluating resources on the internet, this citation and guide leads to a potentially powerful source of information for the fast evolving social media.
