Outpouring opportunities for the Boondock Orthopod!

I just got my official appointment as an attending in one teaching hospital here. This is another opportunity to help develop an already lively and intellectually stimulating department. And perhaps as I grow old and become a seasoned attending to our residents in training here, it is worthwhile to learn new things from colleagues and trainees alike, reinforce and validate old ones and give the best evidenced based care to our patients today and in the future

Seemingly, the outpour of opportunities doesn’t seem to end, I got accepted as a fellow of our national sub specialty organization- Philippine Orthopedic Association. Another milestone in Bone MD’s life. While such fellowship foster camaraderie among its members, it governs a defining chapter in the life of a Filipino orthopod. The life and soul of scalpel wielding scientist cum artist is not without guidance indeed.
